Catholic Recipe: Christmas Baking: Jesse Tree Cookies
These cookies would make a wonderful dessert on Sundays during Advent, or as a treat during the "O Antiphons" during the final part of Advent, beginning December 17. They could also be used to cut out the symbols of the Jesse Tree.
Blend butter, sugar, egg, extract, salt. Add flour, mix thoroughly. Stir in oats. Chill dough. Roll out to 1/8 thickness. Cut, bake at 350 degrees, 8 to 10 minutes.
