Catholic Recipe: Toasted Cheese
Also Called: Mozzarella in Carrozza
DIRECTIONS
Remove crusts from bread slices. Place slice of mozzarella on half the bread slices. Cover with remaining slices of bread; cut in half. Roll bread and cheese sandwiches in flour. Dip into egg. Fry gently on both sides in hot oil in skillet until brown. Yield, 4 servings
