Catholic Prayer: Novena in Honor of the Holy Name
Description:
This novena is in a shorter form. If time permits, add three Hail Marys or say five times the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be to the Father, or to use some of the many well-loved novena prayers from other sources. For the novenas that precede movable feasts, we begin nine days before the feast occurs.
Prayer:
O Lord Jesus Christ, teach us to love Your holy name, to hold it in awe and pronounce it with reverence. Deliver us from the sin of blasphemy. May the holy name of Jesus be infinitely blessed!
Vouchsafe O Lord, for Your Name's sake, to reward with eternal life all those who do us good. Amen.
