Description

This is a commentary by Paul Likoudis on Joseph Matt's A Centenary of Catholic Life in Minnesota. It includes most of the text of Matt's work, which was first published in 35 installments in The Wanderer in 1950 and 1951. Likoudis rediscovered the work in the archives of Catholic University of America, obtained a copy, and painstakingly transcribed the text with his own commentary to add historical perspective, publishing it in The Wanderer in 2012. Among other things, the works is a valuable treatment of the Americanist controversy.
