TOWEL
A cloth used at various times in the liturgy. Thus a finger towel is part of the sacred accessories at Mass, to be used by the priest after washing his hands at the offertory. The bishop uses a towel after washing his hands when administering the sacraments of confirmation and holy orders. In order to distinguish a finger towel a red cross is sewn at one corner of the cloth, rather than in the center, as on purificators.
