THADDAEUS

One of the Twelve Apostles, but little is known about him. Matthew and Mark both name him in their listing of the twelve (Matthew 10:3; Mark 3:18). Luke substitutes the name "Judas son of James" (Acts 1:13). John's Gospel describes him once as "Judas, this was not Judas Iscariot" (John 14:22).
