Your Term:

SUBJECTIVE END

The personal satisfaction that one has in view as the motive for doing (or omitting) something. In Christian morality, personal satisfaction is not excluded from human behavior, but it should not be the primary or even dominant motive for the practice of virtue. The main reason should be to please God, even when what he wants may not subjectively please the one who does it.
