SIMPLE
The quality of not having parts, hence undivided and not composite; also not having potency or imperfection. Spirit is simple because it is not divisible into quantitative parts. Angels are simple because they are not composed of body and soul. God is perfectly simple because he has no composition of any kind. (Etym. Latin simplex, simple, absolute, frank, without parts; literally, onefold.)
