IMPECCABILITY OF CHRIST
The absolute impossibility of Christ committing any sin. His freedom from original sin was declared by the Council of Florence (Denzinger 1347), from personal sin by the Council of Chalcedon (Denzinger 301), and the Second Council of Constantinople condemned the theory that Christ became completely impeccable only after the Resurrection (Denzinger 434). (Etym. Latin im-, not + peccare, to sin: impeccabilitas, freedom from liability to sin.)
