HEROD PHILIP

A half-brother of Herod Antipas, he was the son of Herod the Great. He was married to Salome, the daughter of Herodias. From 4 B.C. to A.D. 34 he served as Tetrarch of Ituraea and Trachonitis. Perhaps his most notable work was rebuilding Caesarea Philippi and Bethsaida.
