trust us to fix it

That's right -- go with your gut feelings! Any adult wearing an official Child Abuser® top with matching shoulderbag is likely to be up to no good.

This helpful web-ad -- I peeled it off the Salon.com site -- is as you see sponsored by Childhelp, creators and marketers of the Good Touch Bad Touch curriculum ("the only curriculum," the home-page assures us, "which uses this title and which has been Copyrighted and Trademarked to protect it"). Be forewarned.

Why has Good Touch Bad Touch been such a hit with progressive church groups? One of the reasons is its non-judgmental approach to the hot-button issues. It's about the children, you see.

So we've got a child protection program so responsive to the breezes of political orthodoxy that its model molester and model victim are both female. A big help for the kids. And if you think that's a happy augury for getting to the root of the child abuse problem, in all likelihood you have ahead of you a very rosy ecclesiastical career.
