Does anyone else find it significant that after approving a political platform that pushed for free abortion on demand and same-sex marriage, and removed any mention of God (I know, I know; they have restored Him--reluctantly), the leaders of the Democratic party announced that they would be moving the Charlotte convention indoors because of a threat of thunderstorms?
If ever an American political party has run the risk of being hit by lightning bolts, this is it.

Pope says silence is golden. Christ was right to be silent but the Pope is wrong in his silence. Pope should say we will dig out the truth with God's help. But I'm afraid we will see the Pope's Jesuit training. I hope I'm wrong.

When I first read Cdl Cupich's comments I thought he was quoting a Babylon Bee satire that said almost the same thing.

Lack of courage is extremely unbefitting any man who accepts the red piping denoting his office. The red symbolizes the man's willingness to die for the Church and his flock, and he will be held responsible by the Judge of all for any failures in this regard.

No worry for these leaders,If they believe God exists,He may be perceived as an indifferent God to their behavior.

The democrats did well to stay indoors. During the debates of 2007, lightning interrupted Rudy Giuliani several times as he proclaimed "abortion rights". If the debate was held outside, who knows what would have happened!
