Papal Diplomat
By Fr. Wilson ( articles ) | Aug 31, 2003
If this story is true, how to explain it? A papal diplomat enjoyed steady promotions and served until very recently as the second in command at the Nunciature in India despite the fact that his archdiocese (Cincinnati), archbishop (Pilarczyk), the Secretariat of State AND the head of the Papal Household all knew that he had confessed a decade ago to sexually abusing a girl from her fourteenth year of age.
What should one reply to someone who charges that the Church isn't serious about addressing the problem of sexual abuse?
