No Offense Intended: A new, and critical, free ebook

I am happy to announce a new (and always free) ebook: No Offense Intended: Essays on wrong-headed Catholics. These essays, written between early 2017 and early 2019, are my most strongly-worded commentaries on the troubles created for the Church by wrong-headed Catholics, especially those in high places.

While criticizing Catholic leadership, I also try to keep in mind all of our shortcomings as Catholics. There is some heat in these essays, but I also hope to shed spiritual light. Thorny topics include the frequent haplessness of the Catholic hierarchy, frequent modern misunderstandings of the relationship between Church and State, and the widespread confusion between Catholic teaching and our own national or patriotic ideals.

As I mentioned, all CatholicCulture.org ebooks are free, and there are now sixteen of them, in addition to the six volumes we publish annually covering all the days of the liturgical year. Each book is available in three formats: .mobi for Kindle; .epub for other standard ereaders; and .pdf for use on almost any computer device. A fourth option is to download a .zip file containing all three formats.

To download, you must be a registered user, and you must be logged in and recognized by the system. If you are not yet registered, click the Subscribe/Login option on the main site menu and fill in the “Subscribe for free“ form. If you are already registered but not logged in, click the Subscribe/Login option and use the Click here to sign in link at the top of the page. When you are registered, logged in, and recognized by a cookie, nothing more is needed. You will see a My Account menu item instead of Subscribe/Login.

Once you are recognized, proceed to the ebooks download area and click on the book you want to bring up a page which contains the download links.
