After scoring some nice publicity by convincing the Vatican to accept the donation of a newly planted forest in Hungary, a flamboyant American entrepreneur has gone out of business. No trees were ever planted, and the Vatican could not fulfill the goal of becoming the world's first carbon-neutral state.
But don't give up hope! All is not lost! A generous donor has promised to set his 27 acres of mature deciduous trees to work, soaking up Vatican carbon emissions.
How about it, folks? Do you have trees in your back yard? Can you put them to work for the Vatican? Alas, I can't guarantee a photo op with a cardinal from the Roman Curia.
