Fact: The National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) has invited Garrison Keillor to address its annual convention. 

Fact: Garrison Keillor has referred to pro-lifers as "shrieking ninnies and pompous blowhards." 

The charitable conclusion to be drawn from this is that the leaders of the NCEA--a group that "provides leadership, direction and service to fulfill the evangelizing, catechizing and teaching mission of the Church"-- don't mind being characterized as ninnies. A different conclusion could be drawn. It's not reassuring.
