This morning, the congregation announced the approval of miracles attributed to four blesseds, clearing the way for their canonization. They are Bl. Giuseppe Manyanat y Vives (1833-1901), Bl. Nimatullah al-Hardani (1808-58), Bl. Paola Elisabetta (1816-65), and Bl. Gianna Molla (1922-62), the most well-known of the four.

Miracles were also approved for seven venerable servants of God, clearing the way for their beatification. The most famous of the seven is the Austro-Hungarian Emperor Karl I (1887-1922).

Finally, seven servants of God were declared venerable. Among them is Clemens Cardinal von Galen (1878-1946), bishop of Muenster.
