The Look of Love
By Chris Pelicano ( bio - articles ) | Feb 23, 2012
Grace is invisible; we can't see it. But every now and then we can see it at work, usually in the life of someone else. When parents see their child cooperate with an apparent effortlessness, or a friend realizes a mistake and corrects himself, or a dying man says "thank you" for a sip of water, grace is at work and visible.
In each (and every) instance it has a certain look about it. It is a subtle and fleeting thing —like glimpsing a child's face in a bustling crowd. It is beautiful and comforting and yet powerful. It is the look of how things should be. It is the look of harmony between God and His child. It is the look of Love.
And then it is gone—until we cooperate again.
