lighter than air

"The future of humanity is at stake," the Vatican representative told an international body.

Gee. Sound serious. So what should we do?

Oh:inter-religious dialogue. Good. Our future is secure.

After all, we all share the human condition, and mankind is one big family, and we all want peace and Kumbaya, my lord...

What!? What?! Oh, yes, as I was saying...

The intrepid CWN reporter seems puzzled by the fact that the speech was delivered on April 24 but-- despite the looming crisis for the future of mankind-- not released until today. I think I can explain. When you pack this much excitement into a statement, a reader will need to, um, rest a bit, to recover his strength, before writing up the press release.
