One of the interesting features of our current pontificate is that various cardinals and bishops sometimes take advantage by floating questionable ideas.
This leaves it to other cardinals and bishops to reassure the faithful. For example: Cardinal Müller rejects idea of ‘paradigm shift’ in Catholic doctrine.
Similarly, it has now been made public that Roger Cardinal Mahony, the special papal representative for the 150th anniversary of the Diocese of Scranton, will not be attending the Mass.
Late Friday, Phil Lawler recommended weekend reading, which I mention here belatedly. One of the pieces is Father George William Rutler’s critique of Cardinal Blase Cupich’s doctrinal sloppiness.
