But this focus on “the real world” can make strong Catholics dismissive of the vital role of the arts as somehow “unreal”.

Yet the arts play a unique and powerful role in mediating spiritual energy to those who live in this real world.

Fortunately, we have a new essay by Thomas V. Mirus entitled Victimhood and responsibility: Fargo’s critique of feminism. It is an excellent lesson in how powerful “arts and entertainment” can be.
