Important New Manual of Catholic Medical Ethics

A comprehensive guide to medical ethics, based on the teachings of the Catholic Church, has just been released by Connor Court Publishing in Australia. The text was originally assembled and edited by Dutch Catholic professionals, and has recently been published in an English edition under the editorship of Fr. John I. Fleming, himself an expert in bioethics (and also a generous supporter of CatholicCulture.org).

The chief editor and main contributor for the original work is Cardinal Willem Eijk, the Archbishop of Utrecht in the Netherlands, who is also a medical doctor and a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. The work takes into account the most recent developments in medicine and healthcare, addressing a wide variety of questions organized according to the phases of life in which the medical-ethical issues are most likely to arise.

The Manual of Catholic Medical Ethics, available as a 722-page hardback, is subtitled “Responsible Healthcare from a Catholic Perspective”. It may be purchased directly from Connor Court or from Amazon.
