Help is on the way.

By Diogenes ( articles ) | Jul 24, 2003

A friend called my attention to this July 8 story from the Detroit Free Press. The Archdiocese of Detroit recently got three new auxiliary bishops, whom Cardinal Adam Maida introduced at a press conference.

Were the men in question chosen for their exemplary dedication to prayer? Or for their profound theological reading and spirited defense of controversial Church doctrine? Or for their edifying lives of personal austerity and mystical love of the virtue of chastity?

Maida said he was thankful that the pope promoted three veterans with "well-earned reputations as team players."
