You may have noticed that Lent is soon approaching, and that Easter (for the Latin Church) comes on the very early date of March 23rd. It gives me satisfaction to find that some benevolent madman has provided us with a complete listing of Easter dates from the year 326 through 4099 -- an indispensable help for making brunch reservations. You'll be pleased to learn that the next occurrence of a March 23rd Easter will be in the year 2160, and that Easter dates of March 22nd (the earliest possible) will occur in 2285, 2353, 2437, and 2505 -- the last but one, note, just in time for the revised NAB Lectionary.

Should we be surprised? When have we heard Obama or anyone from his administration or others who surround him speak the truth about anything? I've always believed it's only practical to be skeptical of what our government officials tell us. This president and his minions have convinced me that that is a radical position. I've come to the conclusion that one would have to suspend all reason to believe anything coming from the White House. If they pass the new health care bill Lord help us.
