Diogenes, your comment below , while trenchant, leads me to suspect you are not a mother, and may have never been a child.

The point, and I'm dead serious here, is that the priest violated the innocence of the children in his care and went where the U. S. government -- even in these Patriot Act days -- the U. S. Postal Service, and the editorial page of the New York Sun have feared to tread.

But Diogenes, you shouldn't be surprised when a clergyman, or even a whole archdiocese, violates a child's innocence, even though the world refrain. Ripping Santa from their little minds is nothing compared to, say, Talking About Touching.
