Caution: Bishop at work

Maybe now we can gain some insight as to why bishops never alerted police when they learned that priests had molested children.

Maybe "the thought never occurred" that felonies should be reported to police.

Or maybe they did think about calling police, but since they didn't know the names of the proper police officers, they didn't make the call.

Or maybe-- most likely of all-- they were aware of something shattering, so they flinched, got comfortable, and had some pizza.
