North Korea reacts violently to anti-government demonstrations

The anti-government demonstrations that have swept across the Middle East and Asia have reached North Korea, the AsiaNews service reports. The government there has responded with characteristic brutality, and tried—not quite successfully—to impose a blackout on news of the violence.
