Cardinal Kasper suggests Catholics study Luther

In an interview with a German newspaper, the president of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity said that Catholics should "get to know Luther better and not just interpret him from his polemical writings." At the same time he said that Luther "would have been deeply averse to all of today's liberal tendencies" in the Protestant world. German churches are gearing up to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
