Climate-change policy requires population control, China argues at Copenhagen

A Chinese government official has told world leaders at the climate-change summit in Copenhagen that any effort to slow global warming must include ambitious efforts to curb population growth. Zhao Baige claimed that “past population growth has been responsible for between 40% and 60% of emissions growth.”

    China has a lot of nerve saying we need to curb the population growth when they have a growing population of elderly and not enough young people to care for them due to their forced abortion, one child policy.
