Malaysian Christians demand release of 15,000 Bibles
November 09, 2009
The Christian Federation of Malaysia is demanding that the nation’s government release the 15,000 Bibles confiscated because they use the word “Allah” to refer to God. “It is baseless to withhold the bibles in Bahasa Malaysia (the national language) on the grounds that they are 'prejudicial to public order,” the federation noted in a statement. “Bibles in Bahasa Malaysia have been used since before independence ... and have never been the cause of any public disorder.”
