Vatican asks diocesan help with cost of investigating women religious

The Vatican's Congregation for Religious has written to American bishops, asking the diocesan leaders to help underwrite the costs of an apostolic visitation to investigate American women's religious orders. The apostolic visitation is expected to run for 3 years, at a cost of $1.1 million.
