New Zealand bishops restore Communion on the tongue as swine flu concerns wane

With concerns over the spread of H1N1 easing in New Zealand, the nation’s bishops have restored the practices of distributing Holy Communion on the tongue, Holy Communion under both species, and the sign of peace and will again permit Masses for the communal administration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. The changes will take effect on September 12.
