Pope meets Australian, Korean leaders

Pope Benedict XVI met on July 9 with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Korean President Lee Myung-bak, continuing his series of private audiences with world leaders who are in Italy for the G8 meeting this week. With both leaders, the Pope discussed the world economic situation and the demands of religious freedom. In his conversation with Rudd, the Pope also spoke about his experience as a visitor to Australia for World Youth Day.
