Vatican foreign minister hopes interreligious dialogue can counter religious violence

April 07, 2015

Archbishop Paul Gallagher, the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States, spoke with The Australian about the Vatican’s efforts to use interreligious dialogue as a means to counter religious violence.

“The Holy See will continue to dialogue with Muslim leaders and teachers, and to encourage respect of the true spiritual values which come from authentic religious experience,” he said.

“At the same time, the Holy Father has been very clear in rejecting and in encouraging the condemnation of all violence in the name of religion, and indeed of religious fundamentalism as such,” he added.

“The Holy See will continue to make efforts to contribute to the peaceful resolution of the conflicts which are driving Christians and other religious and ethnic minorities from their homes and the places their communities have lived for centuries.”

Since when did dialogue with the Devil's violence become authentic religious experience? Resist it, fight it, hate it, but dialogue with the Devil? That's insane.
