Swiss bishops rap Vatican handling of SSPX affair

The Catholic bishops of Switzerland, meeting at Chur, have criticized the Vatican's handling of Pope Benedict's decision to lift the excommunication of bishops from the Society of St. Pius X. The announcement of that move "was evidently not prepared sufficiently carefully," the Swiss bishops said, citing "serious shortcomings" in the way the move was revealed to the public.
