Pope may visit US next year

Pope Francis may visit the US in 2015, writes John Allen of the National Catholic Reporter.
Citing unnamed Vatican officials, Allen reports that the Pope is exploring the possibility of a trip to the US in September 2015, to attend the 8th World Meeting of Families, which will be held in Philadelphia.
The possibility of a papal trip is only under discussion at this point, Allen cautions, and no definite plans have been made.
