Christmas is no fairy tale, Pope tells young Italians
Catholic World News - December 20, 2013
"The birth of Jesus is not a fairy tale!" Pope Francis told a group of young Italian members of Catholic Action in a private audience on December 20.
"Christmas is the celebration of the presence of God who came among use to save us," the Pope told the young people. Stressing that the Nativity proves the depth of God's love for us, he suggested: "If you are convinced of this, you will certainly be able to transmit the joy of this friendship everywhere: at home, in Church, at school, with friends."
