Iowa nun's op-ed: Obama embodies Catholic values

CWN - July 20, 2012

In an op-ed piece for the Des Moines Register, a Catholic nun, Sister Patricia Miller, claims that President Barack Obama represents “the values Catholics cherish.”

Sister Miller argues that as a health-care administrator, she can appreciate Obama’s sweeping health-care reform. In a passing reference to the US bishops’ complaints about the contraceptive mandate embedded in that health plan, she says that when the bishops protested, “President Obama obliged” with a plan, “but it was refused by the bishops.”

This nun lends credence to the prediction that the informal schism in the American Catholic Church will be formalized in the next two years or so. The roughly 75% of of Catholics who are merely nominal or "cultural" Catholics will make it official and stop claiming to be Catholics. The faithful remnant will need to form a faithful, orthodox Bishops's organization.

She only talks about one value in her op-ed, helping the poor through Federally controlled health care. No matter that BHO supports abortion rights, voted against the infants born alive act, refuses to enforce the DOMA and now supports redefining marriage to include abominations, will not allow Catholic social services to operate unless they violate grave moral standards. What is this nun thinking? She apparently wants healed bodies and damned souls.

Thank you, Sister Miller, for clarifying that elusive fact. President Obama, as a Illinois State Senator, and then as a U.S. Senator, voted against the Born Alive Act 6 times. He is pro abortion, pro same sex marriage, pro Marxism. So, Sister Miller, as a radical feminist,is his chief value, that which is to destroy the Catholic Church, the one you cherish the most? Think its time to leave the Catholic Church, sister? Better yet, maybe ex-communication is the answer.

Wonder where the sister has been these past four years? It must not have been in the U.S. and she hasn't been reading the papers, either.
