Conflicting studies on abortions’ psychological effects

A new study that appears in the journal Contraception states that “the best research does not support the existence of a ‘post-abortion syndrome’ similar to post-traumatic stress disorder,” according to the study’s leader. Another new study in the British Journal of Psychiatry, however, concluded that abortion accounts for up to 5.5% of mental disorders.
