Formal split looms for Anglican communion in North America

Conservative Anglican leaders from the US and Canada will complete their break from the Episcopalian Church by setting up a new independent group. The new organization has strong ties with conservative Anglican bishops in Africa; it is unclear whether it will be granted recognition by the worldwide leadership of the Anglican communion, which has strongly cautioned against such splits.
