No change in Vatican liturgical music, despite Pope's preferences

Although Pope Benedict has strongly encouraged a revival of the great traditions of Church liturgical music, the music at papal ceremonies is "of appalling mediocrity," writes noted Vatican-watcher Sando Magister. He reports that "almost nothing has changed, in more than three years of pontificate."
