Pope’s book published in Russian

At a presentation introducing the Russian translation of Pope Benedict XVI’s Jesus of Nazareth, Archbishop Paolo Pezzi of the Archdiocese of the Mother of God of Moscow said that the pontiff “is not appealing to the reader from the height of his papal throne, but acts as an enthusiastic researcher, a philosopher who is trying to understand the deep foundations of his own faith.” A representative of the Russian Orthodox Church also praised the book at the presentation.
