Philippine prelates, clergy protest proposed constitution change

Two bishops have joined clergy and religious in voicing protests against a proposed effort to amend the Philippine constitution. Opponents of the effort say that the prospect of the cancellation of 2010 elections could lead to a “national confrontation.”
