Vatican pleads for safety of nuns kidnapped in Kenya
December 01, 2008
The Vatican has released a plea for the release of two Italian nuns, Sisters Maria Teresa Olivero and Caterina Giraudo, who were kidnapped in Kenya on November 10. The abduction of the two religious, who were engaged in charitable work is a "painful and gravely unjust situation, of which entirely innocent and praiseworthy people are victims, may be resolved as soon as possible," the Vatican said.
