Proposed conservative US Anglican province to be unveiled next week
November 26, 2008
Bishop Martyn Minns, head of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America, and other conservative Anglicans next week will release the constitution of a new US Anglican province that would serve as a parallel structure to the Episcopal Church and minister to Anglicans who are alienated by actions the Episcopal Church has taken in recent years. The proposed province would require the approval of two thirds of Anglican primates, who will meet in February, as well as the approval of the Anglican Consultative Council, which will meet in May.
