Canada: poll finds majority favor protection for unborn children

Most Canadians favor some degree of legal protection for unborn children, according to a new Environics poll. The poll results clashes with the country's law, which allows unrestricted legal abortion on demand, giving legal rights to a child only after birth. Nearly two-thirds of those surveyed also favored a requirement that woman should receive information and counseling before an abortion.
