ADDOLORATA INSTITUTES
The title of several religious institutes of men and women in the Catholic Church who have a special devotion to the Sorrowful Mother. Best known are the Servites or Servants of Mary, established by the Seven Holy Founders at Florence in 1253, under the Rule of St. Augustine, with a distinctive constitution.
