Off the Record

beyond the realm of possibility

By Diogenes (articles ) | May 18, 2005 2:24 PM

Here follows a wholly fictional news story:

A group of about 100 white supremacist Roman Catholics and their supporters were denied Holy Communion at Pentecost Mass at the Cathedral of St. Paul on Sunday.

But, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in south Minneapolis a group of Ku Klux Klan members were given the sacrament.

Archdiocese spokesman Dennis McGrath said he had asked the archbishop if there would be repercussions for churches that granted communion to white robe-wearing congregants. Flynn's reply was no, McGrath said.

Didn't happen. Couldn't happen.

Parochus, on Internet Explorer, anyway, if you just put your cursor over the link (without clicking it) the web address of the site linked to usually appears in the bar at the bottom of your window (down where it tells you a site is loading, etc). But a warning would be helpful, anyway.

Ouch. Diogenes, ***PLEASE*** warn us when you're linking us to a homosexual site. I triggered the pornography blockers at my Church office. This heterosexual priest does not want to have to respond to questions as to why he tried to access such a site. Thanks.

Let us pray: O Lord, may Archbishop Flynn stop lying. May he stop misleading the people of Minnesota. May he stop supporting the gay lifestyle. May he stop pretending to be a successor to the Apostles. Please give him Your heart, O Lord, the heart of The Shepherd. And if he continues to refuse You, O Lord, may he retire early due to health or other serious reasons, for the good of Your people, O Lord. Amen.

Why is it that the archdiocesan spokeman is named McGrath? And the archbishop Flynn? Why not Fr. Tycholaz, for instance, or Archbishop Milankovich?
