Limited partial hangout

Back in October, Bishop Gregory told Reuters that the US hierarchy is studying the sex-abuse problem in depth because: "The bishops really want to be honest with our people and say, this is the data we want to share with you."
And you know what? When that report comes out, I'm sure they will be honest in saying that "this is the data we want to share with you."
And I'm equally sure that many Catholic laymen will be equally honest in saying that they're more interested in the data the bishops don't want to share with us.

I'm no Bishop. However, if someone sent me into Spiritual Combat with this sorry crew backing me up, my first task would be to say a prayer to St Catherine Sienna, and then indelicately let them know in Rome that until some seriously enlightening head-cracking, defrocking, and monastery banishements happen, then stick a fork in North American Catholicism. It's done.
