Iranian Christians to stand trial for blasphemy

Five Iranian Christians will soon stand trial on charges of blasphemy against Islam, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide. The five-- a Protestant pastor and four laymen-- have already been sentenced to a year in prison for crimes against the Islamic order.
Only 0.02% of the nation’s 72.6 million people are Catholic, according to Vatican statistics; overall, Christians account for 2%-3% of the population.
